Venue : VEDIKA Vijayawada I once again would like to emphasize on how important attending this seminar is since PDG A.S.Venkatesh is going to share with us, all his experiences and wonderful tips on how to extend internally and externally. Message from District Governor Rajyalakshmi Vadlamani


Dear Partners in Service,

The second President of United States of America, John Adams once said, “There are only two kinds of people in the World who really count – those who make commitments and those who keep them!” A Rotarian’s life is one that really counts. It is a life of commitments made and commitments kept for bigger, better and bolder clubs required for building communities & bridging continents. Through our theme, I am asking Rotarians to make and keep two commitments –

The first one is a commitment to all the humanity, extending compassion and practical aid to those whose lives have been afflicted by poverty, disease, ignorance, and natural disaster. And it is Rotary’s business to improve the quality of life in each one of our nearly 33,000 communities.

The second commitment, I ask you, is to reach out to business and professional leaders, who, like ourselves, have been given an opportunity to develop their talents, learn skills and want to use these abilities to help others. We all know people who are seeking a meaningful way to make a difference in the world, who think and act like Rotarians without even knowing it. It is our business to bring these individuals into Rotary.

Let us bring the change that we want to see as we need to stand up and be counted and looked up. Let our leadership be the harbinger of change- a change in public perception and image, a change in approach and attitude, a change in our action and behavior, a change in ensuring that ethics and values are never observed in breach. Let us together build and create a brand image of Rotary, acceptable, approachable, dependable and relevant. Let our leadership be always tempered with grace, humility and simplicity.

It is imperative that each one of us have to strive hard to achieve our goals and to derive satisfaction that we are in one of the best districts in the world.

Going far beyond the call of duty, doing more than others expect. This is what excellence is all about and it comes from striving. Maintaining the highest standards, looking after the smallest detail and giving the extra mile. Excellence means doing your very best in everything in every way.

Let us all strive for excellence in Rotary.
